The Accord Party Candidate for Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, Hon. Pelumi Olajengbesi has mocked the Director-General of the Osun State APC Campaign Council, Wole Oke, claiming that the former lawmaker has been sidelined and technically removed from the leadership of the party’s campaign council.

Olajengbesi, in a social media post, said Oke had been “sidelined and abandoned” by the Osun APC, adding that the treatment awaiting him at the party’s final campaign rally would further expose his current standing within the party.

He also mocked Oke over his earlier claim that he would bankroll the APC’s election campaign, alleging that the Osun APC had now “come to understand his kind of politics.”

“The real owners of APC have taken over,” Olajengbesi stated, while suggesting that Oke’s influence within the party had diminished.

The post comes amid heightened political activities in Osun State ahead of the August 15 governorship election.

Olajengbesi’s comments, however, represent his personal assessment of the situation, and the claims about Oke’s alleged removal or sidelining have not been independently verified
