The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has released its schedule of corruption-related cases slated for hearing in courts across Nigeria between June 22 and June 26, 2026.

 

According to the commission's weekly court schedule, a total of 16 cases involving individuals, public officials, and corporate entities will come up for hearing, continuation of trial, adoption of final addresses, and other judicial proceedings in various courts nationwide.

 

The cases are spread across several jurisdictions, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Cross River, Nasarawa, Sokoto, Imo, Kano, Adamawa and other states.

 

Among the notable matters listed are the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN) versus Dr. Theophilus Onyuku at the Cross River State High Court in Calabar, FRN versus Chingyal Sambo Gotoro before the Nasarawa State High Court in Lafia, and FRN versus Hauwau Gimbiya Mukhtar Abdumalik and another at the Sokoto State High Court.

 

Other cases scheduled for hearing include FRN versus Anthony Damisa at the FCT High Court, Maitama, FRN versus Musa Takat at the FCT High Court, Jabi, and FRN versus Umar Abubakar before the Adamawa State High Court in Yola.

 

The schedule also features appeals and civil matters involving the commission, including cases between ICPC and other parties at the Federal High Court, Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court.

 

According to the commission, proceedings scheduled for the week range from fresh hearings and continuation of trials to adoption of final addresses and mentions, reflecting ongoing efforts to prosecute corruption-related offences and recover assets linked to alleged unlawful activities.

 

The publication of the court schedule forms part of ICPC's commitment to transparency and public awareness of ongoing anti-corruption proceedings across the country.
