The Oyo State Police Command has arrested an Indian national and two security operatives over the alleged assault of two truck drivers at Karma Agric Feeds and Foods Limited, located along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Ibadan.

The arrests followed the circulation of a viral video showing the alleged assault, which attracted public attention and prompted police intervention.

The suspects were identified as Harjit Singh, a 46-year-old Indian national associated with the company, and two security operatives, Olowu Oluwadamilare and Sodeke Olamide.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, said the Commissioner of Police, CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, directed detectives to identify and apprehend those involved in the incident.

According to the police, preliminary findings indicated that the confrontation began with a disagreement over the parking of a truck that had delivered goods to the company.

The truck owner, identified as Akinpelu Sarafa, 47, reportedly said the driver objected to parking at a designated spot because he feared it could damage the vehicle's tyres. The driver was allegedly compelled to park at the location, after which one of the tyres burst.

The disagreement reportedly escalated when the driver requested that the company replace the damaged tyre, but the request was declined.

The situation subsequently deteriorated after the driver allegedly used the truck to block the company's entrance, resulting in a physical confrontation involving the drivers, security operatives and an Indian national associated with the company.

The two drivers were identified as Ridwan Olajide, 34, and Taiwo Yinusa, 37. Both were reportedly admitted to a hospital in the Academy area of Ibadan for medical attention.

The police said an investigating officer visited the victims at the hospital and obtained their statements as part of efforts to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The command further disclosed that the case had been transferred to the Special Enquiry Bureau (SEB), Eleyele, Ibadan, for further investigation and necessary action.

It added that investigations were ongoing to determine the individual roles of the suspects and establish the culpability of all parties involved.

The police reiterated their commitment to protecting lives and property and ensuring that the law applies equally to individuals and organisations, irrespective of their status or nationality.

Members of the public were urged to remain calm and allow the investigation to proceed, as the authorities work to establish the facts of the incident.
