A 52-year-old man, Mr. Olamide Salami Kayode, has publicly claimed to be the individual featured in the widely circulated National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) photograph that has recently generated intense debate on social media.
Speaking on the controversy, Kayode warned that he is prepared to institute a ₦500 billion lawsuit against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu if his image is used again for what he described as political propaganda.
According to him, he has remained silent for a long time but has now decided to speak out over the repeated circulation of the photograph.
"Leave my face out of your politics. I've kept quiet long enough," he said.
The development comes amid ongoing public discussions surrounding the authenticity and political use of the viral NYSC image, which has attracted widespread reactions across social media platforms.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official response from the Presidency regarding Kayode's claim or his threat of legal action. Likewise, it remains unclear whether legal proceedings have been formally initiated.
The controversy is expected to fuel further public debate as Nigerians await clarification from the relevant parties. At the time of publication, the claim had not been independently verified by official authorities.
