The House of Representatives Ad-Hoc Committee investigating the alleged Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC) has summoned the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, to appear before it as part of its ongoing probe into the organisation's activities.

The invitation follows a statement by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which distanced the Federal Government from the purported council, declaring that it is not a recognised government body and that the individual claiming to be its Director-General has no official status.

Chairman of the Ad-Hoc Committee, Rep. Yusuf Mikhail Adamu, said the committee is committed to establishing the true status of the alleged council and determining whether it received any form of government approval or authorisation to operate.

According to Adamu, the appearance of the National Security Adviser is expected to provide clarity on issues relating to national security, government authorisation and the activities of the organisation.

He assured Nigerians that the investigation would be thorough, transparent and impartial, stressing that anyone found culpable at the end of the probe would be held accountable in accordance with the law.

The committee reiterated its resolve to uncover the facts surrounding the alleged PFIPC and ensure that any attempt to misrepresent or impersonate government institutions is addressed through due legal process.
