There was mild drama during the ongoing Ekiti State Governorship Election on Saturday as voters at Polling Unit 10, Ward B, in Iyin-Ekiti reportedly forced operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to leave the polling centre.

 

Eyewitness accounts and videos circulating online showed a group of agitated voters confronting the anti-graft agency officials and questioning their presence at the polling unit. The voters insisted that the operatives had no role within the voting area and demanded their immediate departure.

 

The situation briefly created tension at the polling station as residents gathered around the operatives. However, no violence was reported, and the officials eventually left the area after facing sustained resistance from the crowd.
