Nineteen-year-old Werder Bremen defender Abdoul Karim Coulibaly was left stranded on Friday after discovering that thieves had removed all four wheels from his car in Germany.
According to reports, the young centre-back was preparing to drive to training when he found his vehicle without its four tyres and rims. Images shared online showed the car left without its wheels, reportedly supported on stands.
Coulibaly confirmed the incident to German media and later shared pictures of the damaged vehicle on social media, accompanying them with the caption: “I just wanted to go to training.” He also added clapping emojis in an apparent sarcastic reaction to the bizarre incident.
Despite the setback, Coulibaly was reportedly able to make it to training on time after a teammate drove him to the club's training ground.
The 19-year-old defender has emerged as a promising player at Werder Bremen after breaking into the first-team setup. He made his Bundesliga debut during the 2025–26 season and is also a Germany youth international.
Reports further indicate that Coulibaly's future at Werder Bremen is currently uncertain, with the youngster reportedly attracting transfer interest. His market value has been estimated at around €28 million.
The theft left the promising defender with an unexpected problem to deal with before training, but he escaped the incident unharmed.
