Arsenal’s unbeaten start to the 2026/27 Premier League season came crashing down on Saturday as Brighton & Hove Albion handed the Gunners a stunning 3–0 defeat at the Amex Stadium.

Arsenal, who had won their opening four league matches, struggled to impose themselves as Brighton produced a dominant performance in front of their home supporters.

Pascal Groß broke the deadlock in the 31st minute, giving Brighton a deserved lead before Charalampos Kostoulas doubled the advantage shortly before half-time.

The hosts continued their assault after the restart, with Chema Andrés heading in Brighton’s third goal in the 57th minute from a Groß corner.

Arsenal failed to find a response as Brighton comfortably protected their three-goal advantage until the final whistle.

The result marked Arsenal’s first Premier League defeat of the season, while Brighton celebrated one of their most emphatic victories over the Gunners.

For Arsenal, the afternoon turned into a nightmare at the Amex, with their previously perfect league record replaced by a heavy defeat and questions over their performance.
