The Imole Campaign Council Spokesperson and Accord Candidate for Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, Hon. Pelumi Olajengbesi, has alleged that operatives of the Nigeria Police Force's Intelligence Response Team (IRT) from Abuja were deployed to the residence of the Accord Party's Osun East Senatorial candidate, Hon. Ibukun Ishola Fadipe, popularly known as IBK, in what he described as an attempt to disrupt the electoral process.
In a post published on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday, Olajengbesi claimed that the police action was allegedly carried out on the instructions of Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi. According to him, the move was aimed at arresting Fadipe and frustrating the Accord Party's participation in the ongoing electoral process.
"Policemen from the IRT, Abuja are currently at the residence of the Accord Party's Osun East Senatorial Candidate, Hon. Ibukun Ishola Fadipe (IBK), purportedly on the instructions of Senator Fadahunsi, in an attempt to arrest him and frustrate the electoral process," Olajengbesi wrote.

He further declared that any alleged attempt to stop Fadipe's political ambition would not succeed, insisting that the people of Ijesaland had already resolved to elect him as their representative in the Senate.
Olajengbesi also asserted that the alleged development was evidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State had "failed," urging supporters of the Accord Party to remain resolute.
As of the time of filing this report, neither the Nigeria Police Force nor Senator Francis Fadahunsi has issued an official response to the allegations. Similarly, no independent evidence has emerged to verify the claims made in the Facebook post.
The situation remains developing, and further updates are expected as more official information becomes available.
