OSOGBO - A lifeless body has reportedly been left under the Lameco Bridge in Osogbo, Osun State, for more than 48 hours, prompting calls for urgent intervention by relevant authorities.


The development was raised by Inside Osogbo on its X page, which called attention to the reported presence of the body at the location.


According to the report, the situation poses not only public health and humanitarian concerns but also a potential safety hazard to motorists and other road users, particularly at night or during periods of poor visibility.


The body’s reported position under the bridge could create an obstruction for approaching motorists and potentially lead to avoidable accidents if immediate action is not taken.


Inside Osogbo called on the Osun State Government, Nigeria Police Force, Federal Road Safety Corps and other relevant agencies to urgently respond, evacuate the body and ensure the area is made safe for members of the public.


The circumstances surrounding the death and how long the body has remained at the location were not immediately clear from the report.


Authorities are expected to take necessary steps to secure the area and address the situation to prevent any further danger to road users and residents.
