OSOGBO — Osogbo-based businessman and Ijesha-born politician, Arakunrin Tobiloba Famurewa, has declared that he remains committed to his political journey despite setbacks and missed opportunities.


Famurewa made the declaration in a statement reflecting on his political experiences, sacrifices and challenges, saying previous defeats have not diminished his determination to continue building, serving and preparing for future opportunities.


He said his political journey has involved contests, sacrifices and periods when victory eluded him, but maintained that he has refused to allow setbacks to define his story.


> “Every setback has only reminded me that the journey is bigger than one election, one position, or one moment,” he said.




Famurewa said he has learnt that leadership is not measured solely by the offices occupied, but also by the ability to remain committed when circumstances become difficult.


He pledged to continue building relationships, serving the people and preparing for future opportunities, adding that while people may focus on his losses, he values the lessons, sacrifices and experiences gained along the way.


The politician also dismissed any suggestion that he is giving up, saying he harbours no bitterness and remains focused on his journey.


> “I have no bitterness in my heart and no reason to give up. My story is still being written.”




Famurewa expressed confidence that his opportunity would come at the appropriate time and said he would remain focused, disciplined, humble and committed until then.


He concluded with a message of perseverance, saying, “Every hustler has a payday. Every seed has a season of harvest. My time will come.”


He further declared that the waiting period has a purpose and that his political journey is not over.


“The wait has a purpose. The journey has a destination. And my story is far from over,” he stated.
