A Saudi prince has been found dead in a London hotel after consuming a fatal combination of alcohol, drugs, and prescription medication, according to findings from a UK coroner's inquest.

The deceased, Prince Abdullah bin Fahad bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Jalawi Al Saud, 29, was discovered unresponsive in his room at the Marriott Hotel in Kensington, London, on November 25, 2025.

The inquest heard that the prince died from cardiac arrest triggered by a lethal mix of alcohol, GHB (commonly known as a party drug), cannabis, Xanax, and other medications. Toxicology results showed his blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal driving limit in the United Kingdom.

The coroner ruled the death as misadventure, a legal term used in the UK to describe an accidental death resulting from a voluntary but risky act. Investigators found no evidence of foul play or suicide.

CCTV footage presented during the inquest reportedly showed the prince returning to his hotel room alone on the night before his death, while police confirmed there were no signs of third-party involvement.

Evidence presented at the hearing also revealed that the prince had previously undergone treatment for substance misuse at rehabilitation centres but later relapsed.

Following his death, the Saudi Royal Court announced his passing and funeral prayers were held in Riyadh.

The case has drawn international attention due to the prince's royal status and the circumstances surrounding his death, while the coroner's findings have officially ruled out any criminal involvement.
