Oloye Lateef Oyewale Omisore Oderinde, popularly known as Ijala Oodua, is a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, where he studied Arts and Culture and was fondly called Orunmila.


He hails from a lineage of hunters and has served closely with both the late Ooni Oba Okunade Sijuwade and the current Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II.


Oloye Omisore maintains a home and vehicle in Ile-Ife and spends quality time with his family whenever his palace responsibilities permit.


Highly regarded and well supported by the Ooni of Ife, Ijala Oodua is known for being among the first and last persons to attend to the Ooni each day, accompanying His Imperial Majesty on official engagements and travels.


His responsibilities have taken him alongside the Ooni to several countries across the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Europe and China, with his passport bearing numerous international visas from these travels.


Beyond his palace duties, Oloye Lateef Oyewale Omisore Oderinde is widely known for his warm, friendly and cheerful personality, qualities that have earned him goodwill among people within and outside the palace.
