Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat has said he has not received the alleged sum of ₦200 million from the Presidency, amid claims circulating on social media.


Hamzat, however, was quoted as saying that if such money were offered to him, he would accept it and use it to fund his governorship campaign.


“I have not received the sum of N200 million from the Presidency; however, if they give me such money, I would accept it and use it as my Guber campaign funds,” Hamzat was quoted as saying.




The statement was shared by Oyo Affairs on X on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.


The claim comes amid growing political activities ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Oyo State, with prospective aspirants and political groups already positioning themselves.
