The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District, Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide Odidi-Omo, has taken a swipe at his political opponent, Remi Oseni, over what he described as differing approaches to empowerment and community development.


Odidi-Omo said he was more interested in executing projects with long-term benefits for communities than distributing large sums of money to individuals.


Speaking on his development initiatives, the APM candidate claimed that he had undertaken projects worth more than ₦1.2 billion, which he said would soon be commissioned.


> “I’ve done projects worth more than ₦1.2 billion that will be commissioned soon. I can’t be donating money around; how much is ₦100 million? I am doing projects that will impact the lives of your children,” he said.

Odidi-Omo’s comments come as political actors in the senatorial district continue to highlight their records of community interventions, empowerment programmes and development projects in their campaigns.


The APM candidate’s remarks appeared to draw a distinction between direct financial donations and investments in physical projects, which he said would provide lasting benefits for residents and future generations.
