The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested Lagos socialite and luxury goods dealer, Afolabi Kazeem Michael, popularly known as KC Luxury, in connection with the seizure of 184.5 kilogrammes of cocaine valued at more than $27.7 million, estimated at about ₦39 billion.


KC Luxury was reportedly arrested on August 13, 2026, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, while allegedly attempting to board a business-class flight to Paris.


According to reports surrounding the operation, NDLEA operatives intercepted the cocaine shipment after tracking a courier logistics channel allegedly being used to move the illicit drug to destinations in the United Kingdom, other parts of Europe and Asia.


The 184.5kg seizure has been described as the largest courier-intercepted cocaine haul recorded in the history of the anti-narcotics agency.


A logistics company employee identified as Lawal Kehinde was also arrested in connection with the shipment.


Following KC Luxury’s arrest, NDLEA operatives reportedly conducted searches at his luxury apartment in Banana Island, Lagos, where they recovered exotic vehicles, expensive jewellery and foreign currencies.


KC Luxury had built a significant social media following while presenting himself publicly as a luxury goods and jewellery dealer.


The NDLEA investigation is expected to focus on the origin of the cocaine, the logistics network allegedly used to transport the shipment and other individuals who may be connected to the suspected drug-trafficking operation.


The suspects remain subject to investigation and any subsequent prosecution will be determined by the evidence presented before the appropriate court.
