The demonstrators openly demanded the immediate recall of Senator Francis Fadahunsi from the National Assembly, citing inflammatory rhetoric and what they termed sub-par legislative performance during the recent electoral cycle.

"This protest is the first stage of our actions. We are recalling him back home; we are still going to Abuja. All the necessary lawful actions to recall him have been put together which we will start in a few days. We have filed the petition and we are following it with action."

​Adding his voice to the agitation, the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Comrade Akinbode Olakolupo, called for an impartial and transparent security investigation into all allegations of political intimidation, threats, and violence tied to the electoral process in the zone.

The media office highlighted his developmental contributions, pointing to the installation of transformers to boost community electricity supply and the facilitation of over 400 job opportunities for youths across the Ife-Ijesa zone.
