OSOGBO, OSUN STATE - The Osun State House of Assembly, under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, has considered for first reading the Osun State Park Management Establishment Bill.

The bill was presented before the House on Monday as lawmakers commenced legislative consideration of a framework aimed at establishing a formal structure for the management of parks and related activities across the state.

The development comes amid ongoing efforts to strengthen public safety, security and order within Osun communities and transport corridors.

The House leadership said the legislative process is part of broader efforts to ensure that the safety and security of every citizen of Osun State remain a priority.

The first reading marks the initial stage of the legislative process, with further consideration and deliberation expected before the bill can advance to subsequent stages.

If enacted into law, the proposed legislation would provide a statutory framework for the operation and management of parks in Osun State, subject to the provisions eventually approved by the House and assented to by the Governor.
