LAGOS STATE - A 15-year-old boy, identified as Taiye Majekodunmi, has reportedly been arrested in Lagos after he was allegedly found in possession of a gun concealed inside a loaf of bread.

In a video of his interrogation circulating online, the teenager said he lives around Mushin Market and confirmed that the item found in his possession was a gun.

When asked where he got the weapon, Taiye reportedly identified a friend, Samuel, as the person who gave it to him.

According to the teenager, he and Samuel had not known each other for a long time. He said he did not know what his friend did for a living, explaining that he only saw him regularly.

Taiye alleged that Samuel approached him after he returned from school and asked him to deliver the bread to Oshodi.

He said Samuel told him that someone would meet him at Terminal 1 in Oshodi to collect the bread.

“Today, he saw me when I got back from school and asked me to help him take something to Oshodi and that someone would come and meet me at Terminal 1 to collect the bread from me,” the teenager said during the interrogation.

When asked whether Samuel was his brother, Taiye replied that he was his friend.

The teenager also confirmed that he is 15 years old when asked about his age.

The circumstances surrounding the alleged weapon possession, including the identity and whereabouts of the person who reportedly gave the gun to the teenager, remain unclear.

Authorities are expected to investigate the incident and establish how the firearm came into the teenager’s possession.
