ABUJA - The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested two suspected members of a “one-chance” robbery syndicate operating in Abuja.
The suspects were identified as Okwudili Benjamin, 41, and Chinedu Mbaka, 37.
According to the police, the suspects were arrested around the Court of Appeal Junction, Abuja, after operatives intercepted them in a Toyota Camry.
The police said nine Android phones, pliers, a wheel lock and other exhibits were recovered from the suspects.
The command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, said further investigation led operatives to an alleged receiver of stolen items, identified as Osondu Benard, who was subsequently arrested at NPC Junction, Nyanya.
The suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue into their alleged activities and possible links to other “one-chance” robbery incidents in the Federal Capital Territory.
The FCT Police Command said the arrests form part of its ongoing efforts to tackle robbery and other criminal activities across Abuja.
