The Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has recalled that he began what he described as “casting out demons” at the age of 17.
The governor made the disclosure while speaking during a church service in Edo State, where he reflected on his teenage years and his early involvement in spiritual activities.
Okpebholo said seeing young people gathered in church reminded him of his own experience as a teenager.
“When I see young ones standing in the presence of God, I remembered at 17, 18, I’ve also started casting out demons,” the governor said.
He also spoke about his experiences with insecurity and cultism, suggesting that his exposure to such issues began during his younger years.
The governor further acknowledged the influence of the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa on his spiritual background.
During the service, prayers were offered for Edo State, with the church leadership expressing support for the governor and his administration.
