The Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has returned to the state after spending 22 days on vacation in Europe.

Adeleke left Nigeria on September 6, 2026, for a vacation during which he was also scheduled to undergo medical examinations in the United Kingdom. At the time, the governor said the break was intended to allow him to refresh and prepare for the next phase of his service to the people of Osun State.

During his stay abroad, Adeleke continued to attend to official matters. On September 27, he hosted investors in London and reiterated his administration’s commitment to industrialising Osun State. He also discussed investment opportunities in the state and directed relevant officials to expedite an investor’s proposal for a football manufacturing facility and talent academy at the Osun Free Trade Zone.

The governor’s return comes as his administration prepares to commence a fresh phase of governance following his victory in the August 15, 2026 governorship election.

Adeleke is expected to resume direct oversight of government activities in the state following his return.
