As Eid-el-Kabir approaches, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has launched an extensive operation in Kano State, deploying 1,889 personnel to ensure road safety. This initiative, announced on Sunday by the Kano Sector Command Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Labaran, aims to prevent accidents and ease traffic congestion during the festive period, which is notorious for high volumes of road users. With the operation scheduled from May 25 to May 31, the FRSC is determined to make this celebration safe for all.

The mobilization encompasses both regular and special marshals, who will be strategically positioned throughout the state. Kano Sector Commander Idris Lawal emphasized the importance of this operation, stating, "The aim is to reduce road traffic crashes, minimize congestion, and ensure the safety of lives and property during the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations." To facilitate rapid response, the command has equipped itself with 24 patrol vehicles, four ambulances, one heavy-duty tow truck, and two motorcycles, ensuring that help is just a call away.
