Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) has unveiled a whistleblower initiative aimed at combating the illegal use of its branded trucks across the country.

As part of the new measure, the company announced a reward of N500,000 for individuals who provide credible information leading to the arrest of persons involved in the unauthorized use, impersonation, or criminal exploitation of Dangote-branded vehicles.

The initiative is part of the conglomerate’s broader efforts to protect its brand integrity, strengthen security, and prevent criminal activities linked to the misuse of its trucks.

According to the company, the whistleblower programme is designed to encourage public participation in identifying and reporting suspicious activities involving Dangote-branded vehicles. Information supplied by members of the public will be treated confidentially, while verified reports that result in successful arrests will attract the cash reward.

Dangote Industries stated that the move became necessary following concerns over the increasing cases of unauthorized individuals using the company’s trucks for illegal operations, thereby posing security risks and damaging the company’s reputation.

The company urged members of the public to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious use of Dangote-branded trucks to the appropriate authorities or designated reporting channels.

Industry observers say the initiative underscores the growing role of corporate organizations in supporting security efforts and safeguarding their assets through community engagement and intelligence gathering.
