IPETUMODU, OSUN STATE - Hon. Tomiwa Babalola Alatunse has commended the Executive Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, for the state’s emergence as the second-ranked state in Nigeria for Transparency and Integrity Compliance in 2026.
Alatunse described the recognition as a significant milestone and a strong validation of the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, responsible management of public resources and open governance.
According to him, the ranking demonstrates that the principles of accountability and responsible leadership are not merely political statements but are increasingly becoming institutional practices under the Adeleke administration.
> “I sincerely congratulate His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, and the good people of Osun State on this remarkable recognition. Ranking second nationally in Transparency and Integrity Compliance is a commendable achievement and a reflection of the administration’s commitment to openness, accountability and prudent management of the state’s resources.
> “Good governance is measured not only by the projects delivered but also by how transparently public resources are managed and how accountable government remains to its citizens. This recognition therefore deserves commendation.”
Alatunse further noted that Osun State’s continued recognition in the areas of fiscal responsibility, transparency and accountability since 2022 reflects the administration’s sustained efforts to strengthen governance standards and promote public trust.
He urged the state government to remain steadfast in consolidating the gains already recorded, stressing that transparency must continue to serve as a foundation for sustainable development and inclusive governance.
He also congratulated members of the Osun State Executive Council, civil servants and other stakeholders whose contributions, according to him, have helped advance the state’s governance standards.
Alatunse said the latest recognition should inspire the government to do even more in ensuring that every Osun resident can confidently see government as a responsible steward of public resources.
“This is progress worth celebrating, but it is also a call to do more. Osun deserves a government that is transparent, accountable and people-centred, and I commend Governor Adeleke for continuing to move the state in that direction,” he added.
